What is Permanent Jewellery?

Traditionally, Permanent Jewellery is a custom piece welded closed to make it permanent. 

At Oceannia Jewels, we make it about the whole experience of choosing a chain customised for you, whether you keep it minimal or add our charms to make it personal.

We also offer the choice of adding a clasp if you did want the option to remove your piece.

 

Does it hurt?

Absolutely not!

A high quality micro welder will be used to weld your piece closed. There is no contact with your skin during this process.

 

Do I need to book an appointment?

We offer 30-minute appointments to ensure we allow the time for you to choose your forever piece.

We do recommend booking an appointment with us to guarantee your spot with us. However, we do allow walk-ins depending on whether the time slot is available.

 

How do I clean my jewellery?

To maintain the appearance and integrity of your Permanent Jewellery, we recommend the following.

If worn in a spa pool, or swimming pool, it’s best to wash with mild soap and fresh water directly after.

You can use your standard skincare products while wearing our permanent jewellery. Simply avoid contact with any harsh chemicals contained in cleaning products and alcohol-based perfumes.

We recommend polishing your permanent piece every few months to keep them nice and shiny. We do stock polishing cloths instore.

 

How do you remove Permanent Jewellery?

If for any reason you need to remove your permanent jewellery, we recommend cutting it through the jump ring, or for you to come and see us instore.

You will not need to remove your permanent piece at airport security.
